Developing as a Professional Educator

As a teacher we never stop learning!laugh

“I never teach my pupils, I only attempt to provide the conditions in which they can learn.”
― Albert Einstein

As an educator I feel that it is important to be cosntantly learning and grow in this profression in order to keep up with changes in society.

I am active particpant on my school site to ensure I am aware of test scores, data from thoes scores, how to apply the data and move forward.

I am an AVID teacher (Advancement via Independent Determination) that helps to encourge studnets new ways to learn and be active in thier own learning. AVID Unlike most professional development, AVID does not force a pre-packaged, one-size-fits-all curriculum on educators.  AVID offers turn-key teaching techniques and classroom activities that educators can easily incorporate in their classrooms. As a teacher I can quickly see the difference in how students respond. AVID doesn’t change what is taught; it changes how material is taught, respecting teachers' expertise and providing flexibility. That’s why I  love and use  AVID.
